This is my first day with this app I own a roofing buisness so my company depends on the weather! I really hope I can depend on this to b accurate if not it could cost me hundreds of thousands! Fingers crossed!!!
After installing the RainAlarm chrome plugin, I discovered the iOS versions. Installed the free app first to try it out. Found it worked as advertised but a bit over-senstive. I purchased this version so I could change just how much rain would trigger an alarm. Like that I can switch the notification noise from the system default too. Something to keep in mind is that the alarm is only as good as the radar data. If there are "false-positives" from the Environment Canada (like noise generated by the Niagara Escarpment near Collingwood) youll be getting push notifications that rain is coming when its sunny out.
I love this app I find it very useful I just wish the alerts could be easier to understand. Otherwise Great app!!!!!!
Great app I get too see exactly when and what is happening with the weather. A must have for anyone that has to work outside and keep an eye on the weather. There is no problems or glitches or nothing just a great weather app that works and lets you know when a storm or rain is heading your way. This is great!!!! :)
Very good and useful app especially when you prepare an activity! One small thing to improve is the speed setting of the informative text at the bottom of the app. We should be able to change it!
Some bad moments
Since a few, you can only get 4 frames. No option to change it. Frustrating!
So many false positives its not even worth using. Problem is, if it detects even a hint of noise on radar it assumes rain is on the way and you get a push notification.
Goes off constantly, yet to be useful after a few weeks.
Good app! but I paid for the xt version so I didnt have to see ads on bottom of screen, but now have ads running in the bottom of my screen!! I am disappointed I didnt get what was promised in a paid version

RainAlarm has been one of my favorite apps for the past few months. After discovering the RainAlarm Win 7 desktop gadget and Firefox/Chrome browser extensions, I decided to get the Extended version for my iPhone in order to support this developer.
RainAlarm Extended improves upon the free version by allowing for more precise customization. For me, the best feature has to be the ability to turn the app off for a specified period of time. At night, I dock my phone to an iPhone compatible clock radio and I only need my severe weather alert apps waking me up.
If you live in a precipitation-heavy place I highly recommend this app. It is consistently accurate and has never crashed.
I support what this developer is doing and cant wait to see how he continues to integrate the RainAlarm concept into more aspects of my life!
